Membership Costs

Playing sport is costly, no matter what sport it is. At Kempsey Basketball, we do try to keep costs as close to the actual cost it takes to deliver the program. We also do considerable fundraising and apply for grants to help who face barriers to participating in grassroots sports programs.

There are three main costs involved in playing basketball:

  1. Registration Fee (per player)
There is a yearly registration fee which covers both Basketball NSW and Kempsey Basketball Association membership.
This fee lasts for 12 months includes insurance coverage for player injury occasioned in competition or training.
The current fee is $110 for all age groups.

  2. Competition Participation Fee (per player)
Competition fees are paid by the season and usually due before the season starts by each player. For junior local fees, it is currently $180.00 per player, for each six month season.
Competition fees include each player’s share of the team entry participation fee, game coaching and training (including training court hire).
Most competitions are run in line with the school terms. There are usually two seasons per year. Each season will require competition fees to be paid by each player. Once the season has been completed, the player will need to pay the next season fees before confirming their team spot.

Player invoices are sent out to the billing account at the beginning of each season and should be paid no later than week 3 of competition.

If there are any issues, please contact us direct so we can provide support.

  3. Uniform
Starting 2024 Winter Season, each player will be required to buy a club singlet for $40 to play in.
These are high quality reversible basketball jerseys which you can use to play on any Kempsey team, and keep as long as they fit!
